Don’t Get the Jitters Before an Interview

If you have ever had an impromptu interview with the press, it can be daunting to those that are not comfortable with the thought that hundreds, thousands or more would hear everything you say. Years ago, Tom Marx with The Marx Group and I developed this whitepaper that provides helpful advice on how to ace an interview. The Pendulum Swing

With every government administration there is a pendulum swing, but none has been as dramatic as the changes made since President Trump took office. From the standpoint of climate, the EPA is in the midst of an identity crisis as the new policy is to rescind former Obama/Biden era rules. From heavy duty truck companies to OE manufacturers, the ever challenging emissions rules and mandates were adding additional cost pressures that was affecting the bottom line. Now with the pendulum swing focus on commerce and less on hard line policies to control emissions, there is now the opportunity for businesses to take a sigh of relief and refigure their purchases and manufacturing plans to choose the less expensive options.

Yesterday, the EPA proposed rescinding the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Endangerment Finding and associated GHG regulations for motor vehicles and engines, including the Phase 3 rule. The Endangerment Finding, which allows the EPA to regulate greenhouse gas emissions from vehicles, is being reconsidered according to FleetOwner. The EPA suggests it lacks statutory authority to regulate GHG emissions without this finding. If finalized, the proposal would remove all GHG standards for light-, medium-, and heavy-duty vehicles and engines. So hold on tight. We have 3.5 years of this dramatic shift away from EV mandates, and what some proposed were unrealistic emissions standards.
